In an unprecedented combined SoCal West
and SoCal East Contest in Whittier, The Crown City Chorus came in 3rd
overall in their division, for the second consecutive year became the
Plateau A Championship and was awarded the prestigious Most Improved
Chorus award!
PLUS, the chorus qualified to compete
at the Far Western District contest in Phoenix, AZ on September 29.
Also, two quartets from the Pasadena
Chapter competed...
Enterprise garnered the
Novice Quartet Championship, while Impact came in 8th
overall in the division. |

San Jose, CA
The Crown City Chorus, competing at the District Level
for the first time in over 20 years, came in 11th, qualifying as the
Plateau A Champion!.
The capacity audience was very receptive to the entire
performance and the chorus members were exceedingly proud when the
announcement was made from the stage.

Spotlight on Pasadena Chapter
Crown City Chorus on TV
The Pasadena Crown City Chorus was featured on Friday,
Sept. 15, on Los Angeles station KTLA (Channel 5) in the 7 a.m. hour of
the Morning Show with Emmy award-winning reporter Gayle Anderson. The
Pasadena chapter is celebrating its 60th anniversary this
year.

The Crown City
Chorus, in an exciting contest in Northridge, CA was named the Plateau A
Champion and won 3rd place overall, qualifying to compete at the prestigious
District Contest in San Jose this October. |

The Crown City Chorus has been selected the
Barbershop Chapter of the Year 2005 for the Far
Western District. This award was announced by the House of Delegates at a
recent District meeting in Reno Nevada.
The award was presented to the chapter by Ken Custer, District chapter
counselor.
The award is based upon the chorus being the most
improved in the district and providing a consistently
outstanding program that meets the goals of the
Barbershop Harmony Society.
The Far Western District includes California, Nevada, Southern Utah, Arizona and
Hawaii.
There are 89 chapters in the district.
